Assassin Snail

Fish

The Assassin Snail is a popular freshwater aquarium snail known for helping control unwanted pest snail populations naturally. With its striking striped shell and active behavior, it adds both function and visual interest to planted and community aquariums.

Unlike many common aquarium snails, assassin snails do not rapidly overpopulate tanks under normal conditions. They spend much of their time moving through the substrate or hardscape searching for food, making them an excellent addition for aquarists dealing with nuisance snails. They may also consume leftover food and organic debris.

Assassin snails are best kept in stable freshwater aquariums with peaceful tankmates. Their hardy nature and unique appearance make them a favorite among beginner and experienced aquarium hobbyists alike.
